Meet 34 year old Liness, a mother of 4 from Mwale Village who is in Cape town, South Africa attending the Alternative Mining Indaba. Liness is among many women negative affected by Manganese mining. An unknown company that was conducting exploration in the area has left trenches around their village destroying their crops, reducing farm land and polluting the Chofoshi stream where they draw water for basic use.
